Meet Dr. Vayner

  • Regina Vayner, DMD, MPH

Dr. Vayner grew up in Brooklyn, NY alongside her siblings. She remained in the area until the completion of her masters degree in public health. Afterwards, she headed to the Midwest to complete her DMD from Midwestern University, Downers Grove, IL.

Dr. Vayner decided to advance her knowledge and experience in the practice of dentistry by attending a 1-year General Practitioner Residency at Abington-Jefferson Hospital, Abington, PA.

During her time there she quickly recognized a passion for the surgical specialty and continued her post-graduate training as an Oral Surgery Intern at Jacobi Medical Center, Bronx, NY.

This time as an intern gave Dr. Vayner an ardent appreciation for the importance of saving teeth and preserving the patients’ natural dentition.

She then continued her education in the field of periodontics, completing a 3-year surgical residency in Periodontics and Oral Implantology at Temple University, Philadelphia, PA. There she also earned her Masters of Science degree. Dr. Vayner worked with world renowned mentor Professor Thomas E. Rams to publish research in antibiotic resistance amongst periodontal pathogens. She also presented clinical cases at the Northeastern Implant Symposium, American Academy of Osseointegration and American Academy of Periodontology. Most recently she has completed board certification and is now a Diplomat of the American Board of Periodontology.

When time allows, Dr. Vayner enjoys tennis, cycling, Bikram yoga and reformer training. When not in motion, she loves spending time with her family and friends.
